The Laudato Si, come to show us the difference of treatment with the Waman and the earth. The two are InterConnect. Inequality is the source of violence because it shows power between race, culture and religious. Sint Francis of Assis remained us that our common home is like a sister with who we share ou life and a beautiful mother with open arm to embrace us, When the earth is abused, women suffer from its terrible effects on account of their vulnerability to violence. Even with all happens we need to learn to be grateful with the little we have.
Laudato si, reminds us that we are all from one source dust. All plants, animals, trees, all living creatures share a common component ''dust''. A need to take care of creation. Since human beings have higher power over other creatures. This can be done by planting more trees, avoid polluting the environment( like burning rubber, plastic bags, take care of vehicles. Use less fuel , shorter distances, take a walk. The practice of recycling plastic materials should be continued in all countries, avoid unnecessary cutting of trees and keeping the environment clean.

The non- violence helps us to live better life in community, non- violence can reduce conflicts and misunderstandings, we need to learn to identify our needs and give space for others, if we are able to recognize our feelings, we can avoid conflict where we are, why people are violent when they are in difficulties moments? The essencial of our life is love if we practice love, listen to people we are understanding their needs and avoid non- violence communication.

How can we help the women, men, children and sexual minorities. Saharan Africa has one of the highest levels of violence against women. The only way that i see change is when they start to fast change their culture. People are free to choose how they want to live with their sexuality; we need to find a way to help them to be free of this suffering and persecution.
Indeed we have to be intentional about addressing this injustice. We are all made in the image of the Lord. Womanhood is not inferior or anything else. It is our responsibility to remove all kinds of shackles that women have to endure.

The virgin Mary came to represent the second Eve and the church in different way. Eve represents the woman that put the man to sin. And Mary came to represent the mother of the humanity, the mother of Jesus the one that come to save us from our sin. Mary represents love trough silence and sufferings she is telling us that we don't need to talk too much only to love. The birth of Jesus continues be a mystery for me, if we look for this way that Mary was a teenage mother it was not right for her to be the hosen one. When Mary was chosen a teenage to be mother of Jeus, what God want to tell us? The annunciation story clarifies that women and girls are not to use as passive objects for sex, but they should rather choose pregnancy and other reproductive services themselves, providedâŚ
Obedience of Mother Mary should not be misconstrued for any derogatory act. Women should rise and take their rightful position in the world. Thereâs power in womanhood, sisterhood and motherhood. As women we should be respected for the choices we make. Knowledge is power.

I think Pope Leo will follow some of the steps of Pope Francis. He wants one church more inclusive to defend the human dignity, justice and more issue that we have in the church. He is clear when he said the communities that want follow the teaches of Jesus Christ the son of the living God, go out and spread the good news to all the people. Pope Leo will bring the hope for the church to continue the good work that Pope Fransc started to teach us. With his missionary vision and experience of life I believe that he will be able to see the needs of the church, and he will try to correct it although he needs our help too.
Indeed the foundation is firmly established I donât see any reason why there should be deviation. We have to pray for the Pope for wisdom, courage and strength. Together side by side we can achieve much. đđž

Good morning, everyone from all over âMother Earthâ. These past two sessions 10 & 11 tore at my mind and heart. I could not attend the live Zooms in July so please let me reflect with the following online Discussion Group Question: âWhat it means to me to speak of the Church as Mother?â
As I have mentioned before, I live in California, married 43 years, and I am a grandmother of two boys. Hunter is 17 years old and Lukas is 4 months old. My husband, Jan, and I are comfortable and since we are retired, we have enjoyed vacations and being available to care for our baby Lukas.
With this introduction I will address what it means to me to speak of the Church as Mother. I regard it as only poetic jargon and do not take it too literally.  I had a lovely mother and father who tooâŚ

Each session holds my attention, and I am struck with the depth of knowledge presented to us. There will be certain Monday sessions I will not be able to attend during the summer months, but I take the time to listen to the recordings and refer to the recommended readings. The discussion question for Session 9 was âWhat does Mary mean to meâ? I will share a few of my very personal thoughts.
Mary was a Jewess and always remained a Jewess. She was faithful to her Jewish family and studied Torah and fulfilled the Laws of Moses, according to her female status. The images of her as a gaudy queen of heaven have never tugged on my heart and soul. The beautiful African Icons, which we experienced this session, did move my soul. The visions of Mary by children are beautiful and yet I hold them within the contextâŚ

The Webinar on The Genesis session, held on June 9, 2025, was very informative. Thank you for this presentation. Rabbi Michael Hilton and Professor Beattie were a wonderful duo when they expanded the many layers and nuances of the Hebrew language. At the beginning of the lecture, Rabbi Michael gave examples of âword playâ in Genesis Chapter 2, verse 23. It is the recognized passage âBone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called âwomanâ for out of man this one has been takenâ. On my own study and prayerful reading of these passages, I have never grasped the powerful, intrinsic meanings.
During the times I try to discover the heartbeat of God in scripture, I have found it best not to take most of the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures literally. Over these many years, it has only been through courses, such as these, thatâŚ
Thank you Liana de Jesus for your thoughts and expressions of hope regarding conflict and relationships. During this Advent Season we certainly do need loving relationships. Your last sentence was important because our children must be the light which brings forth healthy dialogue and concern for all people.
Christmas Blessings to all,
